about SARA ~

Sara (she/they) is a Naarm (Melbourne) based actor and creative who has a feisty pet chihuahua who is the love of her life. Sara works across stage and screen and grew up on Adam Sandler films before cementing the want to become an actor by seeing Holly Hunter in The Piano and despite being a 16 year old girl feeling an intrinsic connection to the Scottish immigrant trapped in a house with Sam Neill.
Sara is a 2017 graduate of the National Theatre Drama School. Whilst there, they were the recipient of the G.E. Jones scholarship for most promising young actor. Since then, they have worked across projects in film and theatre - including writing and performing in their own one person show, ‘Sadface’, acting in, 'Still’, by one of their favourite playwrights, Jen Silverman, at their favourite venue in Melbourne, Fortyfivedownstairs. All whilst starting an enduring love affair with the negroni.
From high school over achiever to university dropout to pursue their dream of being an actor, Bolch is one to watch, at least their Mum thinks so. Amongst acting projects, they are currently developing a series on the first vampire (!!) and a screenplay on an under-known visionary 70s musician, watching too much real housewives, and sussing the vibe.
"Bolch has a lovely vulnerability to them, and when the scenes allowed for that, they really shone. Their wry delivery and physical embodiment of Dolores were well-suited to the role."
- Theatre Travels
"Ms Bolch executes a fine trajectory here: her changes, her actions, are ‘unbelievable’ but completely credible."
